Therefore, always buy them as a matching pair. As a result, 4-thread and 5-thread plates never swap. Otherwise, the needle can hit the plate and break.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"identify\">How to Find Your Part Number<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Read the machine label.<\/strong> First, note the full model code, like E4S-4-M03\/333, 747-514M2-24 or W562-01CB. The last part shows the version and gauge.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Read the old plate.<\/strong> Next, remove the plate. Most genuine plates have the number stamped underneath.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Match it in the chart.<\/strong> Then find the number in either column. Where a row shows &#8220;=&#8221;, both numbers are the same part.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Count and measure.<\/strong> Finally, if the number is worn off, count the needle holes and measure across them.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Still unsure?
