JACK Bartack Error Codes: T781E, T1900, 1900BSK
Written by Aashu, owner of Stitch Partner. These JACK bartack error codes cover the machines we support most, because we have supplied bartack and button machine spares to garment units since 1989.

First, note the exact code on the panel. Then switch off and reseat the plug named in the table. After that, restart and test on scrap cloth. However, if the same JACK bartack error code returns, stop restarting, because repeated faults can damage the board. Instead, check the motor cable and the supply voltage. Finally, replace a part only when the plug, cable and supply are fine.
JACK bartack error codes: JK-T781E
| Code | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| E1 | Power module overcurrent or overvoltage | Restart; if it repeats, check the power board |
| E3 | Stepper motor communication abnormal | Check the cable between the stepper drive board and main board |
| E6 | Stepper motor sensing abnormal | Check the opto switch and the stepper mechanism |
| E7 | Motor plug loose, position signal abnormal, head blocked or fabric too heavy | Restart; check head, positioner, motor and module drive |
| E9 | Positioning signal abnormal | Check the up and down positioning signal and the belt pulley |
| E11 | Auto positioning fails after boot | Check the positioner; the motor will not run until it is fixed |
JACK bartack error codes: JK-T1900 and T1900G
| Code | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| E-001 | Pedal not in middle position | Release the pedal |
| E-003 | Head tilt error | Return the head; check the tilt switch |
| E-004 / E-005 | Low / high voltage | Check supply |
| E-007 / E-034 | Main shaft driver abnormal | Switch off, wait, restart |
| E-008 / E-009 | 24 V supply error | Switch off, wait, restart |
| E-012 | Presser foot position error | Check CZ025 on the head signal board |
| E-013 | Encoder disconnected | Check plug X5 |
| E-015 | Beyond sewing area | Press RESET; check pattern and X/Y scale |
| E-016 | Needle bar up position error | Turn handwheel to bring needle bar up |
| E-018 | Cutter position error | Check CZ024 |
| E-019 | Emergency stop switch not normal | Reset the switch by hand |
| E-025 / E-026 | X / Y origin search error | Check CZ021 / CZ022 and X9 |
| E-027 / E-028 | Presser / thread-catching origin error | Check CZ025 or CZ026, and X9 |
| E-030 | Main board and stepping board communication | Power cycle; check the cable |
| E-035 / E-036 | Main board overcurrent | Power cycle; replace motor, then main board |
| E-037 / E-038 | Main shaft overcurrent / machine locked | Check encoder connection and mechanical jam |
| M-317 | Main board to panel communication error | Power cycle; check cable and boards |
| M-333 | Lubrication alarm | Oil the machine, then reset |
Other M-codes (M-300 to M-332) are pattern, memory and USB import errors: select another pattern, restore defaults from the system menu or update the panel program, as described in the manual.
JACK JK-1900BSK (older three-digit codes)
E7 machine lock; E30 needle bar not up; E40 sewing area exceeded; E221 lubrication alarm; E302 head tilt; E303 24 V supply; E730 encoder (check main shaft motor cable); E811 overvoltage; E813 low voltage; E901 main shaft driver; E903 stepping driver; E907 and E908 X and Y origin; E910 presser origin; E913 thread-catch origin; E915 and E916 communication errors.
When a part is needed
First, origin errors are mostly a dirty or loose sensor plug. However, overcurrent and driver codes point to the motor or main board. Browse JACK part books to identify the exact part. Official reference: JACK T1900G instruction manual.
To prevent these faults, first keep the machine clean and oiled. Also, use a stabiliser, because unstable mains voltage causes many codes. In addition, never pull on the plugs, since loose or damaged cables cause repeat errors. Moreover, switch off before you unplug anything. Therefore, a few minutes of care each week saves costly repairs. Finally, keep a note of every code and the date, so you can spot a pattern.
When to fix JACK bartack error codes yourself
Besides that, always test after each fix. For example, run the machine slowly after you reseat a plug. Then, if the code returns, move to the next check. In short, change one thing at a time. Consequently, you will know what fixed it.
Also, remember that a code is only a clue. For instance, an overcurrent code may come from a dry machine, not a bad box. Likewise, a sensor code may be just a dirty sensor. Therefore, clean and check first, and then replace parts. As a result, you save money and downtime. Otherwise, you may change a good part.
However, some faults need a technician. For example, a burnt smell or a blown fuse means you should stop at once. Similarly, repeated overcurrent codes point to a failed part. Because of this, do not open a live control box. Instead, send us the model number and code on WhatsApp. Then we can suggest the right part quickly.
Meanwhile, keep this page handy, because the same codes appear on the T1900G. Therefore, save the link on your phone. Also, share it with your mechanic, so everyone reads the same list. Finally, come back whenever a new code appears.
अक्सर पूछे जाने वाले प्रश्न
What does E7 mean on JACK T781E? The motor plug is loose, the position signal is wrong, the head is blocked, or the fabric is too heavy.
How do I clear M-333? First, oil the machine as the manual describes. Then reset.
