How to Replace the Needle Plate
Power off the machine and raise the presser foot. Remove the presser foot and slide plate, unscrew the old needle plate, and fit the correctly sized B plate with the needle hole aligned squarely under the needle bar. Tighten evenly, turn the handwheel by hand to confirm clearance, then reattach the presser foot and test-stitch on scrap fabric.
